Our Story

Hi, we’re Hayley and Jay, the founders of Kingdom Culture Apparel.

We LOVE a lot of things, but if we had to narrow it down to just 3, it would be talking about Jesus, enjoying good food, and having a good laugh.
We both grew up in Christian homes, were baptised as teenagers, and have been incredibly blessed to experience God’s calling on our lives and family through ministry.

For Jay, It all started when a group of us boys had a devotional at the gym which birthed our first ever faith shirt. We printed it and wore it at the gym and suddenly had some guys approach us affirming the shirts and wanting one as well. This sparked the vision of what it could look like if we had shirts that shared the gospel? If each story had a design that encourages others to not only wear the story but share the story as well?

I had hoped that when people wear the shirts, they carry the message of Jesus boldly wherever they go and hopefully plant a seed of hope, joy and love for someone in their life. Though this happened well over 13 years ago, I prayed to God that he give this calling to someone else as I wasn’t progressing forward with the mission.
Then, in 2025, God gave that same calling to my wife. It became the confirmation we both needed to step out in faith, and today we’re building Kingdom Culture Apparel together in obedience to His calling.

For Hayley, Kingdom Culture Apparel was born from a personal conviction.

There was a time when sharing my faith outside of church felt difficult. Too often, opportunities to pray for someone, speak about Jesus, or simply acknowledge my faith were missed because of fear and concern about what others might think. One day, a coworker was genuinely surprised to discover I was a Christian. That moment was confronting. If Jesus was really living in me, like I so often pray for, why wasn’t that obvious?

I realised I may never be a preacher on a stage or an apologist winning debates, but I did have a passion for design and a desire to make Jesus known. What if clothing could become a conversation starter? What if something as simple as a T-shirt could help break down barriers and create opportunities to share faith?

Then came a moment that fuelled the vision even further. Seeing mainstream clothing brands openly glorifying darkness, evil, and rebellion highlighted a reality: culture is always preaching a message. If the world is boldly promoting its values, why shouldn’t Christians be bold about theirs?
